মুলত এই জায়গাটা একটি পুনর্বাসন প্রজেক্ট ও আবাসিক এলাকা, আমি ঘুরে দেখেছি পরিবেশ খুবই ভালো, আমার কাছে ভালো লেগেছে

This is Padma Habitation project of Government, the place is good to live, the environment and totally good to stay. I was attend an weeding reception of one of my known person.

One of the best residential area compare to any municipality. Have all essential facilities with huge green area.

শান্ত নিরিবিলি একটা জায়গা। পদ্মা সেতুর রেললাইন নির্মাণের জন্য বাস্তুচ্যুত লোকজন এর জন্য পুনর্বাসন নিঃসন্দেহে একটা ভালো উদ্যেগ।

Great looking place, everything is under plan, । Nice road and also there are tree both side of road, But there is a problem in the road there is no loght

Good place to go but some people ride irresponsibly. Sometimes on the road dog tries to cross the road.

Resettlement Action Plans was prepared to address and mitigate the adverse impacts on life's and livelihood of the Affected Persons due to acquisition/requisition of lands for the Padma Multipurpose Bridge Project

Development of Resettlement Sites for Relocation of Affected Households Four resettlement sites have been developed, two sites at each side of the Padma river. Constructions of all infrastructural civic amenities such as, school, mosque, market, over head tank for water supply, electricity supply, roads etc.are completed. In the resettlement sites three categories of residential plot are available; 2.5,5.0 and 7.5 decimal. Total 2123 residential plots and 80 commercial plots are available in four resettlement sites.
More over 5 hundred affected family were resettled in Kumarvog Resettlement site (RS-03). There is a beautiful mosque, primary school, Healthcare, Big play ground & a big pond there.people’s come here to visit.

This project made so proud as Bangladeshi that I can stand tall and talked to any one proudly about my country. I warmly congratulate all those who are involved in making this project a success.

Nice place to tour.
But some families are living by gathering.
And some roads are blocked by Dusts.

The project covers three districts —Munshiganj (Mawa Point/North bank), Shariatpur and Madaripur (Janjira/South bank). The total area of land to be acquired and required for its components is 918 hectares (2248.63 acre). The requisition of land for the construction yard will be for six years on a rental basis. As per the new design, an additional 144.04 ha (355.93 acre) has been identified for acquisition, bringing the total to 1062.14 hectares (2624.61 acre). This additional land is required because project site lost significant land due to erosion, for transition structures and due to a change in railway alignment.

After allegation of corruption by some people associated with project preparation the World Bank withdrew its commitment and other donors followed. However, the corruption allegations were subsequently found to be false and without merit and the Canadian Court subsequently dismissed the case. The project is now being funded from own resources of the Government of Bangladesh
