Nice place as a cultural center. There is also a school named "Nalanda". Our non profit organization "Little Readers Society" arranged a work shop on "Earthquake & Fire safety awareness for children" monday last. That was a great experience for us.

A beautiful place with very artistic decoration. The auditorium is well maitained with all stage performance facilities. The audience sitting arrangements are in informal low sitting stairs which creates a freindly environment to enjoy cultural programs.

Any one will fall in love with the place once visited.

Chhayanaut is a well-known Bangladeshi Cultural Organization established in 1961. The organization was founded after hosting the birth centenary celebrations of Rabindranath Tagore. Chhayanaut nurtures Bengali culture with the study of Tagore as its central focus.
At the same time, Chhayanaut became an open forum for people to stand in solidarity with the oppressed and the distressed. In addition to cultural activities, Chhayanaut has always rushed to the aid of people at times of famines, floods or riots. It has brought people together to resolve crises with songs of protest on their lips.

The Chhayanaut Sangeet Vidyatan  (Bengali:  ছায়ানট) is an institution devoted to Bengali culture, founded in Bangladesh in 1961. As in the case of many similar organizations, it was established during Pakistani rule in Bangladesh to promote and nurture the cultural and musical heritage of Bengal. Every year, Chhayanaut arranges a big program in order to celebrate the Pahela Boishakh, the first day of the Bengali new year

Chhaynaut is the most cultural place to visit in Dhaka. It may called Shantinikatan of Bangladesh. Chhaynaut has it's own multi storied building and it's quite specious. It has been built with funds from local cultured people, some donations from intellectuals and finally with the donations of government. It has built-in school named 'Nalonda', with a completely different vision to create good citizens for the nation. Everyone should have a look at Chhayanaut Vaban to watch what the excellence they're creating and I hope it would be a great pleasure!

It is a good institution which boasts of our culture and cultural identity. However, most of the teachers, although very good at music, are not versed in the true soul and emotions of the music and instead, just try to make the students dully memorize the tune and the lyrics of any song. And they don't teach the basics of 'taal' (beat), 'raag' etc. They just dump a whole load of data about any song without explaining first. Besides, the hotline of the institution cannot be reached sometimes and that is very inconvenient for many people.

It is a cultural institution where you can learn many kinds of bengali traditional cultural things like singing, dancing, reciting, art and many more. They have specialised and professional teacher to teach this things.
They teach these things from the core of bengali culture and they are very dedicated to their students.
They have different courses to choose and learn. They teach through these courses by taking classes weekly 3 or 4 days.
They have individual charge for each course.
If you want to learn any of the course I mentioned above, you have to pay for the course.
