Since its inception in 2001, Brac University has become one of the most reputed educational institution in Bangladesh. We have focused on generating new knowledge and promoting critical thinking amongst our students, graduating more than 7,000 young men and women during this time. Candidates who have qualified in HSC/A levels or recognized equivalent examination in current year or two previous years are eligible to apply. “E” grades will not be considered. Candidates must have a minimum aggregate GPA of 8.00 out of 10 (on a scale of 10), with no grade lower than 3.5. Despite being ahead of everyone in the perceptual scores, NSU came third in the factual scores and Brac was first. Thus, the combination of the factual and perceptual scores found Brac as the number one university and NSU as the number two. Sir Fazle Hasan Abed founded BRAC University in 2001, under the Private University Act. Located at 66 Mohakhali, Dhaka, the university is based on the American liberal arts college model. The university began with just three departments and around 80 students in 2001. It held its first Convocation in January 2006. As an ex student of BRAC, they have a reputed Engineering school. Also AUST has a good one where's AIUB would perhaps comes at 3rd amongst this comparison list. It's comparatively easy to achieve a higher CGPA in AIUB compared to BRAC. CGPA 3.00 to 4.00 = 1st Class. CGPA 2.25 to 2.99 = 2nd Class. CGPA 2.00 to 2.24 = 3rd Class.

I miss the time when it used to be a leading university in Bangladesh, specially their CSE department. Now, it is just hoarding students like a garment factory and filling up their classes to the brim.

The quality of classes have degraded significantly. Students don't get their wanted courses due to the lack of seats. I hope BRAC can keep up the dreams of Sir Abed alive.

In proportion to a huge student community it has its campus in the most busiest place in Dhaka (Mohakhali) where there are also commercial offices, huge traffic, random people here and there and making it not the best environment for higher study but the campus in Savar is quite well organized and neat. And for quality of education its getting batter everyday but still there are lot to catch up to get world-class benchmark.

BRAC University  (BRACU) is a private University in Bangladesh. It was founded as a branch of the BRAC organization by Sir Fazle Hasan Abed in 2001 under the Private University Act.

One of the best university for engineering studies. They don't have permanent campus yet, but they are working on it.

There faculties are best in class. The campus is fully air-conditioned and they have lift. It is an wheelchair accessible place which is really amazing! They have a very large cafeteria where you get healthy food in a very reasonable price. They have indoor game facilities as well as they have conference hall.

The library is enriched with lots of study materials. They have very large 4 computers lab, where student can spend their time in a very effective way. The campus is neat and clean. The class has multimedia facilities. There electronics lab one of the best lab in Bangladesh. They have a very nice outdoor seating place name "Prangon" where students spend their leisure time with a cup of coffee/tea.

Unfortunately they don't have car parking for the students but students who have motorcycle/cycle can park outside the campus. The security is very tight in here and nobody get pass without identity or proper authorisation.

This is a great university. I love this university because this is one of the best university in Dhaka city. There many students are studying here. I also wants to go this campus more and more or BRAC university in Dhaka Bangladesh. The result is very well of this university.
