এক কথায় বলা যায়, খানিকক্ষণ সব ব্যস্ততা ভুলে একদম নিজেকে নিয়ে অন্য কোথাও হারিয়ে যাওয়ার থেকে ভালো আর কি হতে পারে। আর সেই হারিয়ে যাওয়ার মূল সঙ্গী যদি হয় বই, আর তো কথাই থাকেনা।
যদি বইপ্রেমী হোন, তাহলে অবশ্যই বেড়িয়ে আসবেন এখান থেকে। আর যদি নাই হোন, তবু্ও যাবেন। মন ভাল হয়ে যাবে।

বিশ্বসাহিত্য কেন্দ্রের ছাদ বসার জন্য চমৎকার। করোনাকালে এখানকার শিঙারা খুব মিস করছি। বাতিঘর ভালো। তেমনভাবে এখানে আড্ডা দেয়া হয় নাই, তবে বই পড়ুয়াদের জন্য বেশ ভালো একটা জায়গা। কেন্দ্রের পাশের ৯০এর দশকের vibe দেয়া বাড়িটা আমার বিশেষ পছন্দ। -. -

কেন্দ্রের কলেজ লেভেল বই পড়া কর্মসূচিতে ছিলাম।
এখান থেকে বই পড়ায় হাতেখড়ি, পাব্লিক স্পিকিং, ভলেন্টিয়ার এবং লিডারশীপ ইত্যাদি এবং ভ্রমণ, চলচ্চিত্র সম্পর্কেও ধারণা এবং অভিজ্ঞতা পেয়েছি।

From my childhood I have known this place. I feel so peaceful here. They have great collection of Bangladeshi & International literature. The roof is so amazing. I often go there to meet with papa as its also his office & seldom have coffee with him. I love this place so much.

Liked it very much. If you want to collect good Bangla books at a fair price, this is the place. But the price of foreign English books are comparatively high.

A place of famr for not only different cultural activities but also for gathering. Library, conference rooms, tea stall make the place a center for the cultural people. View of the building is awesome. You will see the center busy always with readers, or with the participants of many activities happen here. Like the place as many times as I went. Love it

বিশ্ব সাহিত্য কেন্দ্র মানেই বইপ্রেমীদের আড্ডাখানা।
তবে আড্ডায় শুধু কি সাহিত্য হলেই চলে? কিছু ঝাল ঝাল ভাজাপোড়াও তো দরকার। সেজন্যই এর রুফটপে খাবার দাবার সহ বসার ব্যবস্থা আছে। খাবারের মধ্যে জনপ্রিয় হলো ছোলাবুট, বেগুনি, পেঁয়াজু এছাড়া চিকেন ফ্রাই, সফট ড্রিংকস এসবও পাওয়া যায়।
বিকাল বাড়তে থাকলে ভীড়ও বাড়তে থাকে। এত কম দামে এত সুস্বাদু খাবার আর মনোরম পরিবেশে আড্ডা আর কোথাও দেয়া যাবে না।

ঢাকার মধ্যে সবচেয়ে প্রিয় জায়গার একটি। ছাদের উপর রুফটপ আড্ডা, বাতিঘর, বিভিন্ন সেমিনার এইসব কিছুর জন্য দারুণ পছন্দ আমার। বাতিঘর তো আমার অসম্ভব ভালো লাগার জায়গা। প্রচুর যাই। সবাইকে যাওয়ার জন্য বলি। সেখানে ছবি তোলার ভালো পরিবেশ আছে। আর আছে প্রচুর বই। বই কেনাও যায়, পড়াও যায়। একটাই সমস্যা তেমন বসার জায়গা নেই।

ঢাকার বুকে এক টুকরো স্বর্গের নাম বিশ্ব সাহিত্য কেন্দ্র।
ঢাকার বাংলামোটর এলাকার ময়মনসিংহ রোডে বিশ্বসাহিত্য কেন্দ্রের অবস্থান। আবদুল্লাহ আবু সায়ীদ স্যারের প্রতিষ্ঠিত এই বিশ্ব সাহিত্য কেন্দ্রের সাথে পরিচয় হয় ছোটবেলায়, ভ্রাম্যমাণ লাইব্রেরীর মাধ্যমে। স্কুলে পড়াকালীন প্রতি সপ্তাহে একবার আসতো ভ্রাম্যমাণ লাইব্রেরীর গাড়ি। সেটি ছিল যেন একটা বিশাল জাদুর বাক্স! আমরা বই নিয়ে পড়তে পারতাম! এই বিশ্ব সাহিত্য কেন্দ্রের লক্ষ্য হচ্ছে আলোকিত মানুষ তৈরী করা। তাইতো এই প্রতিষ্ঠানের motto হচ্ছে আলোকিত মানুষ চাই!

This is very comfortable place to read book. Not only people can buy book but also there is opportunity to buy book.

It's a place for everyone. You will find big libraries then Bati Ghor is the cherry on the cake of this place. Many types of Cultural programs held here. You'll find many Shahitto Premik here.
Also it has a great rooftop cafeteria. Where you can enjoy a afternoon with your gang and have some snacks in a cheap price. Over all if anyone visits there he/she will love it definitely.

Second home for all bookworms of Bangladesh. Here anyone can get the real touch of literature. Rich book collection. Better facilities. Well decorated.

বিশ্ব সাহিত্য কেন্দ্র বই পড়া থেকে শুরু করে সাহিত্য চর্চার এক অনবদ্য স্থান। বিশ্ব সাহিত্য কেন্দ্রের শুরুটা ছিলো বই সবার কাছে পৌঁছে দেয়ার প্রয়াস থেকে। বহুদিনের চেষ্টায় তা আজ হয়েছে মহীরুহ। বাংলামোটরের মতো এমন দামী জায়গায় এদের একটা বিশাল ভবন নজর কাড়ার মতো।

এই ভবনের বিভিন্ন তলায় বিভিন্ন কাজ করার জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়। বিভিন্ন বইয়ের এক বিশাল সমাবেশ এদের লাইব্রেরি তে। যেকোন বই নিয়ে ওখানে বসেই পড়তে পারবেন। আর যদি বই বাড়িতে নেয়ার ইচ্ছা হয় তবে আপনাকে তাদের সদস্য হতে হবে। তিনপ্রকার সদস্যপদ দেয়া হয়। আপনার সুবিধামতো যেকোন একটিতে আপনি নিজেকে যুক্ত করে উপভোগ করতে পারবেন তাদের বইয়ের রাজ্যে।

এর বাইরেও তাদের রয়েছে নিয়মিত কার্যক্রম। বই পড়া নিয়ে কিছু নিয়মিত আয়োজন, আলোচনা, সাথে আছে আরো কিছু আয়োজন। জোছনায় ভবনের ছাদে আয়োজিত হয় গানের আসরের। সেখানে অনেক বিখ্যাত শিল্পীরা এসে সবার সাথে উপভোগ করেন মুহুর্তগুলো।

কেন্দ্রের আট তলায় আছে "বাতিঘর" নামে একটি বইয়ের দোকান। বইপ্রেমীদের জন্য এ যেন এক অসাধারণ জায়গা।

কেন্দ্রে ফটোগ্রাফি কোর্সসহ আরো অনেকগুলো কোর্স চালু আছে, বছরে একবার ভর্তি পরীক্ষার মধ্য দিয়ে এখানে মানুষজন ভর্তি হয়ে কার্যক্রমে অংশগ্রহন করতে পারেন।

A must visit place for all book lovers. So many books are available here. You can have membership from the library. Nice place for reading too.

Nice environment for seminar, that building has book library as well as many people encourages to read books, Sir Abdullah abu saeed is a founder of this.

Best library in Bangladesh to me. Equiped with thousands of books of nationwide varieties. Impossible to not to fall in love with culture bindings established from very since of the journey of our educational possibilities.

Great Organization established by Abu Sayed Sir. It’s library and operates lots of moving library. They distributed books to the door step of the readers. The enlighten millions of people.

A well-planned building. Nature-friendly! But the sale department of BSK should be much more expanded and should be buyer-friendly.so that they can roam around easily. Moreover, the library should be much more richer in collection with books of different languages, especially of English. I felt the lack of good and recent English books there.

The Canteen-
The canteen at the rooftop should be filled with good varieties of food. I went there along with a friend in a Ramadan day, but only drank a bottle of soft drinks as they were serving nothing else but some set menus. I don't have problems with set menus, but ensure variety for customers with varied wallets.
One thing annoyed me during that day. Some guys with a girl–most probably from an Arts and Entertainment cult (like they were talking of stage dramas) were making too much noises. Gatherings tend to be noisy. But that was Iftar time, yet they were not a little respectful to the time, even if there were us and many other who had fasted that day. And these fellas talk of Culture! Huh!
