It's a Government Base Hospital & University for Medical Students. This picture outside of view inside treatment have no experience because I have not take any service from this university.

৩ দিন হাসপাতালে গিয়ে লাইনে দাড়িয়ে থাকার পরেও একটা টেস্ট করতে পারিনি।৩০৫ নম্বর রুমে যারা টেস্ট করতে যায় সবাই খুব সেনসেটিভ রোগী, ক্যান্সার ডায়াগনোসিস করা হয় এই পরীক্ষা দিয়ে।সেখানে এতক্ষণ লাইনে থাকার পর যখন স্যাম্পল কালেকশন যিনি করবেন সেই মহিলা বললেন উনি ৫ টার বেশি স্যাম্পল নিবেন না।একটা ক্যান্সার রোগীর জন্য এক একটা দিন কতটা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ! আর দেশের এত দূরের বিভিন্ন জায়গা থেকে মানুষ এসে যদি এমন সার্ভিস পায় সেটা খুবই দুঃখজনক।

দেশের একমাত্র মেডিকেল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়। এর চিকিৎসার মান মোটামুটি ভালো হওয়ায় দেশের অন্য প্রান্ত থেকে লোকজন আসে চিকিৎসা নিতে।

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) is the premier Postgraduate Medical Institution of Bangladesh.

Establishment of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University was an upgrade of the Institute of Postgraduate Medicine and Research (IPGMR). IPGMR was established in December 1965, as a Government-controlled postgraduate institute for medical research and studies. It was housed in the now defunct Hotel Shahbag, once the biggest hotel in Dhaka. The neighbourhood got its name Shahbag from the name of the hotel.

From 2010, many of the medical and public health colleges/institutes have become affiliated to BSMMU. For example BIRDEM, BIHS,  DMC,  SSMC,  NICVD,  NITOR and others.

It was renamed as Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University by the Act 1,1998 of Jatiyo Sangshad after the first President of Bangladesh, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University  (BSMMU) is a graduate medical university in Bangladesh. It was established in 1965. The university offers postgraduate degrees only, not offering undergraduate medical or dental degrees.

এটি দেশের সর্বোউচ্চ চিকিৎসালয়। সরকারি এই চিকিৎসা লয়ে চিকিৎসার মান ও অনেক ভালো।

Doctors are best but a lot of patients. Last time I got prescribed four medicines, one of them were unable to read. But the cost of treatment is affordable. I have never found any unit or department unclean like average Bangladeshi public hospitals.

It's is the only medical University in Bangladesh. It is very much important treatment Institute for poor and middle class family. Though it’s treatment is good, it’s inside environment and treatment procedure is too much lengthy and unbearable.

Govt Hospital and well renowned Medical University. The university is one of the best institutions for medical students in Bangladesh. Top class students get the opportunity to study here. People can get treatment and diagnosis at a very low cost as a govt.hospital. But, some of stuffs and doctors behavior are below par.

Treatment is good. Doctors are expert. Staffs r not co operative. Treatment takes time. If you are new don’t go there without any experienced helping hand. Treatments are very low cost.

If you are willing to go there first time please dont go. They stuff works in there outrageous and powerful than prime minister they think

বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিব মেডিকেল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় (বিএসএমএমইউ) দেশের প্রধান স্নাতকোত্তর চিকিৎসা প্রতিষ্ঠান। ইনস্টিটিউটের পূর্ব নাম ছিল Institute of Postgraduate Medical Research (IPGMR) যা 1965 সালের ডিসেম্বরে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়েছিল। ১৯৯৮ সালে সরকার দেশে উচ্চ চিকিৎসা শিক্ষা ও গবেষণার সুযোগ সম্প্রসারণের জন্য আইপিজিএমআরকে একটি মেডিকেল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে রূপান্তরিত করে। বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়টি দ্রুত সম্প্রসারিত হচ্ছে এবং বর্তমানে, বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে সেবা, শিক্ষাদান এবং গবেষণার জন্য আধুনিক প্রযুক্তি সমৃদ্ধ অনেক বিভাগ রয়েছে।

Very busy and crowded. Two parts of this medical. University and OPD. OPD is open upto 2pm generally. Most of the depertments are here to serve patients. Besides for different clinical or laboratory test samples are collected here. The ansars try to maintain the crowd. You'll get good medical advice from here.

One of the famous hospital of Bangladesh.
In Pakistan period it was Pakistan General Hospital. After liberation war it's renamed 'Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University'. All Doctor, nurse & officials are very helpful.

Cannot expect anything more from a Govt hospital in Bangladesh. Doctors and staffs are really kind and caring towards the patients.

Modern technology and machineries used here. I solved my skin problem from here. Every doctors are very well and their behaviour are so polite.
