It is a beautiful place in Dhaka for exhibitions and as a french language club. I love this place and Gallery.

I took a 3-month Intensive Course with Alliance Française, and Arnab Zaheen was our course instructor.
On our first day, Mr. Zaheen showed us a vulgar, inappropriate video in the classroom. As our class consisted of mostly underage and young female students, this video made us extremely uncomfortable.
Mr. Zaheen would always arrive 20 to 30 minutes late to the class. Instead of teaching us French, he would spend hours telling personal stories (for example, his honeymoon trip in China). Eventually, he failed to finish the course material.
Mr. Zaheen would often come in the class unprepared. Whenever students would ask him a question, he would make rude, sarcastic remarks.
Our classroom looked like a dirty storeroom with broken furniture. We didn’t receive any certificate at the end of the semester. Alliance Française also charged us extra money for an app called APOLEARN, which they never let us use.
I paid a total of 19,340 taka for this course, and I consider it a complete waste of time and money.

I was here for a workshop that is held in one of the gallery. It's an open exhibition also. People can come and visit the exhibition. It's about old Dhaka Riverside areas.

Alliance Française de Dhaka or AFD is a nonprofit organization which has been working in Bangladesh since 1959. Located at Dhanmondi, Dhaka, AFD celebrated its 50th anniversary of operating in Bangladesh in 2010. Sometimes referred as the French Cultural Center, Alliance Française de Dhaka works independently in close liaison with the High Commission of France in Bangladesh.
Alliance Française de Dhaka promotes French culture, especially the French language to the local people of Bangladesh and at the same time, promotes the local Bangladeshi culture in France. Local personalities who are enthusiasts and partisans of the French culture, work as an executive committee for this organization.

The French language and cultural center of Bangladesh, located at Dhanmondi Road No 3, adjacent to Mirpur Road. French language course is offered here. Also these is small conference room where various exhibitions, cultural programs, conference and other functions are organized.

Fantastic Institutional Activities. Offers cultural insights alongside theatre shows. If you want to study french, this is by far the best place in Bangladesh.

Nice organization for learning the French language, music, and salsa dance. They always organize many beautiful programs. Their management system is very good and friendly. Their security system is very strong and friendly. Teachers are very highly qualified and very helpful. All staff's behavior is very gentle. They have a little movie theater hall and it's nice. The cafeteria is one of the oldest and most popular and most beautiful. The total campus area is mind-blowing. I was always happy when I visited this place. I love this campus or institution.

It's a very nice and cosy environment. The place looks like home. There's a small restaurant inside where one can order cakes, cookies, coffee and more. Lovely place.

AFD is an institution where you can learn french language and get diploma certificate issued by the French Ministry of Education. AFD also arranges many cultural program often with famous French artists and film show at regular intervals. French is the second most important foreign language in international matters. Learning French can be a good avenue for migrating to Canada.

আমি মূলত বিবলিয়োত্যেক তথা গ্রন্থাগারটা ঘুরে বেরিয়েছি। সাল্যে বা মিলনায়তনে বিনামূল্যে হালের একটা কুর্দি চলচ্চিত্রও দেখেছি—ঢাকা আন্তর্জাতিক চলচ্চিত্র উৎসবের অংশ হিসাবে। কুর্দি ও কুর্দিস্তান নিয়ে বই পাঠের আগেই একটা চলচ্চিত্র দেখা হয়ে গেল!
বিবলিয়োত্যেকে ঢুকতেই দেখা গেল বঙ্গানুবাদিত নানান ফরাশি সাহিত্যের বই। তার মধ্যে কিছুর তো অনুমতি নেই, বিবলিয়োত্যেক্যের মাদাম সোহানা জানালেন: একত্রে অনেক বইয়ের চালান নিলে কোনটা অনুমোদিত আর কোনটা অননুমোদিত তা খেয়ালের উপায় থাকে না। আর তাঁরা প্রসিদ্ধ প্রকাশনালয় থেকেই নেন। তবে মুশকিলটা হলো, বাংলাদেশ ও ভারতের পশ্চিমবঙ্গের 'প্রসিদ্ধ' প্রকাশনালয়গুলো মেধাস্বত্বদস্যুতার ক্ষেত্রে ভালোই প্রসিদ্ধ।‌ তাঁতার কোমিকগুলো (comique) দেখলাম কমিকস ওয়ার্ল্ড নামক বইদস্যুদের বা গ্রন্থস্বত্বাপহারকদের (পিরহাত-pirate) কপিগুলোই নেওয়া। পাশাপাশি অবশ্যই চিন্ময় গুহ বা পবিত্র সেনগুপ্তর অনুমোদিত অনুবাদগুলোও আছে।
ফ্রাঁসের প্রসিদ্ধ প্রকাশনালয় গালিমারের বই দেখা গেল, দেখা গেল ফ্রাঁসের কোমিকগুলো—যার জন্য হলেও ফ্রঁসেটা শেখা উচিত। কত কত বই, ভাষাদীন বলে আজ অন্ধ!
নওয়াজেশ আহমদ ও নায়েব উদ্দীন আহমেদের বাংলাদেশ শীর্ষক লিভর ফোতো বা ছবির বইয়ের সম্ভবত ১৯৭৬ সালের সংস্করণটাই পেলাম, মায়েস্ত্রো সত্যজিৎ রায় যে বইয়ের সমাদর করেছিলেন।‌
পেলাম বহুকাল আগে মাহমুদ শাহ কোরেশী ও গুরুপদ চক্রবর্তী কৃত ফরাশি-বাংলা অভিধানের ২০১৩ সংস্করণ; কিছুদিন পর বিক্রয়োৎসবে যার দাম তেহাই পরিমাণ কমে যাবে। হ্যাঁ, বই কিছু নিকাশের প্রয়োজন হলে ছেড়ে দেন তাঁরা কমে। কোরেশী ও অন্যদের আরেকটা পুরোনো কাজ, যার কথা আগে থেকেই জানি—সমকালীন ফরাশি কবিতার সংকলন, পেলাম। পেলাম জাঁ-লুক গদারকে নিয়ে একটা বই, অতঃপর লেবাননি‌ ফরাশি সাহিত্যিক আমিন মাআলুফের কিছু। এই তো!
